Lyssna’s customer referral program lets you invite colleagues or peers to try Lyssna using a unique referral link. When someone you refer signs up and later purchases a paid subscription, both of you receive a reward. It’s a simple way to share a tool you already use and get rewarded when it becomes valuable to someone else.
How the referral program works
Who can refer someone
Any Lyssna customer can refer someone using the referral program, including customers on free and paid plans. The person you refer must be a new Lyssna user who signs up using your referral link.
Self-referrals and referrals between duplicate or related accounts aren’t eligible for rewards.
What counts as a successful referral
A referral is considered successful when all of the following happen:
The person you refer signs up for Lyssna using your unique referral link, creating a new account of their own.
They purchase a paid Lyssna subscription.
The person you refer has up to 90 days to upgrade to a paid Lyssna plan. As long as they signed up using your referral link, the referral will count if they start a paid subscription within that time frame.
What rewards are offered
When someone you refer upgrades to a paid Lyssna subscription, you both receive a reward:
You receive a $40 gift card as a thank you for the referral.
The person you referred receives 30% off their first Lyssna subscription payment.
Rewards are applied once the referral meets eligibility requirements, including the 90-day upgrade window. In some cases, we may review referrals before issuing rewards.

Referrer rewards
When someone you refer starts a paid Lyssna subscription within the 90-day window, you’ll receive a $40 gift card of your choice as a thank you for the referral.
Referrer rewards are issued within 7 days of the referred customer’s first paid subscription purchase being confirmed.
Referee discounts
To make it easier for someone new to get started with Lyssna, the person you refer receives 30% off their first Lyssna subscription payment when they sign up using your referral link.
The discount applies to self-serve Starter and Growth subscription plans only. It applies to the first subscription payment and doesn’t apply to the purchase of panel response credits. Any future subscription payments are charged at the standard rate for the selected plan.

When rewards are issued
Discounts for referees are applied automatically at checkout when they purchase their first subscription.
Referrer rewards are sent after payment is confirmed. In rare situations, we may need to take a closer look at a referral before issuing a reward.
Eligible plans and exclusions
Included plans
Referral rewards apply when the person you refer signs up for a paid Lyssna plan. Starter and Growth plans are eligible, whether they’re billed monthly or annually.
Exclusions to be aware of
There are a few important exclusions to keep in mind:
Referral discounts apply to subscription purchases only and don’t apply to panel purchases or response credits.
Self-referrals or referrals between duplicate or closely related accounts aren’t eligible for rewards.
Managing and tracking your referrals
You can manage and track your referrals from the Referrals tab in your account settings.
To find it, go to your account settings and select Referrals from the sidebar.
On the Referrals tab, you can:
Find and copy your unique referral link to share with others
See how many referrals you’ve made
View the total value of rewards you’ve earned
Common questions
Can I refer myself or someone on my team?
You can’t refer yourself or someone on your team. Referral rewards are designed for inviting new Lyssna users, so self-referrals, referrals between duplicate accounts, or referrals between closely related accounts aren’t eligible for rewards.
Is there a limit to how many rewards I can earn?
There’s no fixed limit on how many referral rewards you can earn. Lyssna may introduce limits in the future if needed, but most customers never run into any restrictions.
What happens if the person I referred downgrades or cancels?
If the person you referred downgrades or cancels after starting a paid subscription, the referral still counts as long as their first paid subscription purchase was completed. If a refund is required, it’s issued on a case-by-case basis, based on how much of the subscription was used, and doesn’t include the referral discount.
Do referral discounts apply to panel purchases?
No, referral discounts don’t apply to panel purchases. They only apply to Lyssna self-serve subscription purchases and don’t cover response credits for panel orders.
When will I receive my reward?
If you’re the referee, your referral discount is applied immediately at checkout when you purchase your first subscription.
If you’re the referrer, your reward is sent within 7 days of the referred customer’s payment being confirmed.
How do I choose my gift card?
If you’re the referrer, you’ll receive an email with instructions to choose your $40 gift card from a selection of supported retailers. Gift cards are issued through Tremendous, which handles delivery and redemption.
Do Enterprise referrals qualify for referrer rewards?
Yes, Enterprise referrals qualify for referrer rewards. If the person you refer signs up for an Enterprise plan, you’ll still receive the $40 gift card once their paid subscription is confirmed.
