If you prefer not to order responses from the Lyssna panel, you can instead invite your own participants to take your test. Each test has a unique link, enabling you to invite an unlimited number of participants to take your test.
Our Free plan allows you to view only the first 15 self-recruited responses. To access additional self-recruited responses, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan.
How to share your test
Visit the Recruit tab of your test and click Set up link:
A modal will appear where you can customize the settings of your link. Configure your link by selecting the relevant options. Note that limiting the number of participants who can take your test, collecting demographics from your audience, and setting up test redirects are all features exclusive to the Growth plan.
Enable the link, copy it, and share as desired.
Once you have enabled a test link, that test or interview counts as a launched study. Your plan determines how many studies you can launch per billing cycle. Once a study is launched, you can continue to recruit for it as long as you need.
Common questions
Who can see my test?
When inviting participants from your own audience your test can be seen by whomever you share the link with.
What kind of branding will be shown to my participants?
Your participants will see a default, unbranded interface. Adding your logo and brand colors are features of our Enterprise plan.
How do I revoke access to a test?
If you've shared your test's link you can disable access anytime by clicking Manage link on the Recruit tab of your test, and then Disable link.
Can I learn more about my participants?
When inviting participants from your own audience, you can gather demographic details allowing you to filter responses based on age, country, gender, education level, daily hours online, annual household income, technical proficiency, and employment status using demographic questions. This feature is available on our Growth plan.
Why have I received more responses than requested when I selected to limit participants?
When you make your test link available to more people than you would like to respond, it's possible that you will receive a few more responses than requested. We disable your test from being accessed once the target number of responses has been met, but if any other participants have opened the test and begun to respond before it is closed, they will be allowed to finish their response and it will still be registered in your results.
What happens to my responses if I cancel my paid plan?
If you cancel your paid plan and return to the Free plan, all your collected responses will remain saved, but you’ll only be able to view the first 15. To regain access to all responses, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan. Your data stays secure and accessible if you choose to upgrade in the future.
Can I recruit from the Lyssna panel on the same test?
Yes! Once you launch a study by either enabling a recruitment link or placing a panel order, you can recruit for that study for as long as you need, from as many sources as you like. That includes the Lyssna panel, your audience, and our partner panel. If you recruit from multiple sources, you can filter your responses to view only those from a particular source.
